Jennifer Mason has spent her life caring for people. Long before she founded Mason Technologies, she was a charge nurse in the pediatric department of a hospital, caring for children and supporting families through some of their most difficult moments.
That experience shaped the way Jennifer sees every project, every client relationship and every decision: technical excellence matters, but people always come first.
A calling to care
Jennifer’s story began in a hospital long before her professional career did. At just seven years old, she spent three months hospitalized after being diagnosed with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, a blood disorder that can cause easy bruising, bleeding gums and a low platelet count.
During that frightening time, a nurse named Ann helped ease her fears with patience, compassion and steady reassurance. The impact stayed with Jennifer for life.
“I never forgot the compassion she showed me. From that point forward, I wanted to become a nurse and provide that same sense of comfort to others.”
Jennifer followed that calling and became a registered nurse specializing in pediatric care. In that role, she learned how much every detail matters when people are depending on you.
Seeing a better way
One experience in the hospital would later become the foundation for an entirely new path. While helping move patients into a newly renovated pediatric unit, Jennifer watched contractors pull cables through the ceilings of occupied hospital rooms. Dust and debris fell around vulnerable patients, including children with tracheostomies and feeding tubes.
In that moment, Jennifer saw a clear need for a different standard. Technology infrastructure work could not be treated as just another installation. In healthcare environments especially, it required planning, communication, safety, infection-control awareness and respect for the people being served.
That realization never left her.
Building Mason Technologies
Years later, after a back injury forced Jennifer to leave active nursing, she carried those lessons into a new profession. In 2002, she founded Mason Technologies with a simple philosophy: do the job right, take care of people and never compromise on quality.
What began as a small, family-owned business grew into a national technology integration company specializing in structured cabling, audio visual systems, data centers and unified security solutions. From healthcare facilities and higher education campuses to government agencies and enterprise environments, Mason Technologies has built its reputation on reliability, craftsmanship and accountability.
For Jennifer, growth has never changed the heart of the company. Mason Technologies remains grounded in the same values that guided her as a nurse: listen carefully, act with purpose, protect the people around you and deliver work that others can depend on.
